Punjab Elections 2022: PM Modi To Address Public Rally In Jalandhar Today

Punjab Elections 2022: On 14th February (Monday), PM Narendra Modi will hold a public meeting in Jalandhar ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections 2022.

Congress party is the incumbent government in the Punjab state and for the upcoming Punjab Polls 2022, the party announced the CM Charanjit Singh Channi as the Chief Ministerial face.

Punjab state is going for Assembly elections on 20th February for the 117 assembly seats.

Earlier, in the 2017 Assembly elections, Congress had won a huge majority by winning 77 constituencies and ousted the SAD-BJP government which had been in power for 10 years.

On 5th January, there was a lapse in the security of the Prime Minister when he was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes during his Ferozpur visit, due to the road being blocked by some protesters.
