PM Narendra Modi: On Monday, Samajwadi Party announced that Ms. Subhavati Shukla will take on CM Yogi Adityanath in the Gorakhpur Urban constituency in the UP Assembly elections 2022.
Ms. Shukla was named in the list of 24 candidates released by the party yesterday. Along with Uttar Pradesh, elections are being held in Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Goa.
Ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Modi will address his first virtual rally in the state today. In his rally, PM Narendra Modi will address people from 18 Assembly segments of Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib parliamentary constituencies, as per a statement issued by the BJP.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fighting the Punjab assembly elections in alliance with the Amarinder Singh-led Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) and the Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa-led SAD (Sanyukt).
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to address various rallies in the coming days, ahead of the elections. After the 8th February rally, the PM will address another rally on 9th February covering two parliamentary constituencies in virtual events.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also likely to address at least 10 rallies in the state physically.
