Rahul Gandhi To Campaign In Amethi, Prayagraj Today

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to campaign in Amethi and Prayagraj on Friday ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections phase five which are going to be conducted on Sunday.

This will be his first campaign of Uttar Pradesh since December, while e has been part of 30 election-related programs in Goa, Punjab, Manipur, and Uttarakhand.

Assembly polls are being conducted on February 28 and March 5 in Manipur, while elections have concluded in Goa, Punjab, and Uttarakhand.

Rahul Gandhi last visited Rae Bareli and Amethi with his sister and UP Congress in-charge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on 18th December.

Rahul Gandhi lost the Lok Sabha elections from Amethi in 2019 to BJP’s (Bharatiya Janata Party) Smriti Irani. However, he entered the Lower House of Parliament with a win from Wayanad of Kerala.

Priyanka Gandhi, former Union ministers Salman Khurshid, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, and Sachin Pilot have been leading the campaign in Uttar Pradesh, a state where the Congress has been out of power over three decades.
