AAP Claims Internal Survey Gives It 58 Seats In Upcoming Gujarat Assembly Polls

Gujarat Assembly Polls: The AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) has claimed that its internal survey has found it could win about 58 seats in the upcoming Gujarat Assembly Elections, likely to be held in December month of this year. On Monday, the state AAP in charge Dr. Sandeep Pathak said the survey was conducted in a scientific manner through the party’s own agency. According to the survey, the party is likely to get votes from rural areas and from urban and middle-class segments in urban areas.

Pathak, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, said, “The people belonging to rural Gujarat are having an opinion that the Congress can’t win over the BJP here. The Congress voters of Rural Gujarat areas are going to vote for us. This is the case as of now, and I expect that as polls come near, our tally will increase”.

Pathak further claimed that even the survey by the state intelligence wing of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) government in the state, which was carried out recently, is giving 55 seats to AAP.

Incidentally, AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, CMs of Delhi and Punjab respectively, had on Sunday completed a two-day tour of Gujarat state and they participated in several events including a roadshow.

Pathak, who became the Gujatar state AAP in charge on Monday, said his party was fighting for the top spot here as people were looking for a change from the BJP party, which has ruled for the past 27 years.

Pathak also claimed that the people know only the AAP can defeat the BJP, not the Congress, which is the main opposition party in the 182-member Gujarat state Assembly.
