Priyanka Gandhi Clarifies On Being ‘CM Face’ in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Elections 2022: A day after declaring herself as the CM Face for the upcoming UP Polls 2022, on Saturday, Congress Party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi clarified her remarks saying that no such decision has been made by the party.

In an interview with ANI, Priyanka Gandhi stated that she made those remarks in a ‘slightly exaggerated way’ in response to repeated queries from the media on the same issue.

Priyanka Gandi said, “I’m not saying that I’m the Chief Ministerial face of Congress in the UP Assembly elections…I said that in irritation because you all were repeatedly asking the same question”.

Priyanka further stated that the party decides the chief ministerial candidates and in some states, the decision is pending.

On Friday, the Congress leader dropped big hints that she could be the CM candidate of the Congress in UP.

Priyanka Gandhi was asked, “Are you seeing any other face from the Congress? Then?” “Then you are the Chief Ministerial face for the Congress?”. Responding to this, Priyanka said that her face can be seen everywhere.
