Union Home Minister Amit Shah, maintaining a resolute stance ahead of the forthcoming Haryana elections, announced on Saturday that the BJP would contest the upcoming Assembly elections independently. This declaration comes despite the party’s recent loss of five seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Shah exuded confidence that the BJP would achieve a full majority, securing its third consecutive term in the state. He presided over the BJP’s state executive meeting in Panchkula, where the primary focus was on election strategy.
In his address, Shah emphasized that the BJP would not enter into any alliances for the state elections, which are anticipated to take place before October this year. He underscored the party’s capability to stand on its own, without the need for any coalition partners. Beyond discussing the strategic outline for the elections, Shah aimed to boost the morale of party workers, offering them guidance and practical advice for the campaign.
Dharmendra Pradhan, Haryana’s BJP in-charge and Union Minister, spoke at the meeting, criticizing the Congress for its lack of a clear agenda, which he argued had driven voters to support the BJP in the previous two Assembly elections. Pradhan expressed strong optimism that the BJP would once again emerge victorious in the state elections, marking their third consecutive win.
Pradhan also mentioned that a political resolution was passed during the state executive meeting, extending gratitude to the people of Haryana for their continued support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term. He appealed to the electorate to once more place their trust in the BJP in the upcoming state elections.
Attacking political rivals, particularly the Congress, Pradhan accused them of disseminating false information and lacking a coherent political strategy. Following the meeting, the Haryana BJP took to social media to share that Amit Shah had expressed his gratitude to the party workers, highlighting Haryana’s crucial contribution to Modi’s third term as Prime Minister. The meeting was attended by several key figures, including party co-in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb, Union Ministers Manohar Lal Khattar and Subhash Barala, Lok Sabha MPs Naveen Jindal and Dharambir Singh, Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, and other senior leaders and party workers. In total, around 4,500 participants from all 90 Assembly constituencies were present, demonstrating the party’s wide-reaching organizational strength.
