From The Himalayas To Sea, BJP Has Been Blessed By All 4 States, Says PM

Election Results 2022: The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has won four states, including the politically significant Uttar Pradesh state, in the mega elections which are seen as the semi-final before the 2024 national elections. The AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) had also hit gold in Punjab state. In Uttarakhand, the BJP has crossed the majority mark and in Goa, it got 19 out of 40 constituencies.

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has crossed the 255 mark and Yogi Adityanath is set for a second consecutive term as Chief Minister. The majority mark for the 403-member legislative assembly is 202 seats.

With the historic win in UP, PM Narendra Modi said the results give a glimpse of the outcome of the 2024 general elections.

While addressing the BJP workers at the party headquarters, Prime Minister Modi said, “Many people had said that the fate of the 2019 general election was decided when the 2017 UP election was declared”.

The BJP has set a record of sorts being the first party in nearly 40 years to retain power consecutively.

Pointing to the spectacular win in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi also said this election has proved once again that there is no truth in the allegations of caste-based politics in Uttar Pradesh.
