Senior BJP Leader, Two Others from Himachal Pradesh Join AAP

A senior leader from Himachal Pradesh joined AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) here on Wednesday, saying he was fed up with the policy of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). Harmel Dhiman, who was a national executive member of the BJP’s SC Morcha, joined the AAP along with his supporters in presence of party leaders.

Along with Dhiman two other BJP leaders, Devraj and Jagdish Pawar from Himachal Pradesh also joined the AAP.

After joining AAP, Dhiman told reporters, I am joining the AAP today because I was fed with the BJP’s policy. I have joined this party because I am impressed with the work and ideology of Arvind Kejriwal.

On Monday, the AAP had dissolved its Himachal Pradesh working committee, announcing that it will reorganize it soon following the defection of the top functionaries of the state party unit and some other leaders to the BJP.

Last week, AAP Himachal Pradesh president Anup Kesari, general secretary Satish Thakur, and Una district chief Iqbal Singh joined the BJP in presence of its president JP Nadda and Union Minister Anurag Thakur in Delhi.

Assembly Elections are due to be held in Himachal Pradesh state later this year.
