Guj Assembly Polls: Arvind Kejriwal Announces AAP-BTP Alliance, Challenges BJP

Gujarat Assembly Polls: Ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections due later this year, AAP’s (Aam Aadmi Party) national convener Arvind Kejriwal said that he stands with the tribals of Gujarat and is happy to work with BTP (Bharatiya Tribal Party) founder Chhotu Vasava to bring about a change in the state and improve lives of the poor. In his first public rally in Gujarat ahead of the assembly polls, the Delhi CM said while the ruling BJP and opposition Congress stand with the rich, he stands with the state’s poor people.

Kejriwal thanked the two BJP leaders for inviting him to the rally. The AAP leader targeted the BJP over its state president CR Patil and claimed there cannot be a bigger insult to the state’s people than the ruling party appointing a person from Maharashtra as its chief.

The AAP chief also criticized the state BJP government over the pathetic situation of government schools. He invited Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel to visit the schools and hospitals in Delhi. He also said the BJP, despite being in power in Gujarat state for 27 years has failed to improve the condition of government schools.

The AAP leader also promised free electricity, doorstep delivery of public services, corruption-free government services, and employment generation for the Gujarat people, if voted to power.

Arvind Kejriwal said he has heard that the BJP (Bharatiya Janta Party) wants an early election in Gujarat state.

He made a similar appeal to BJP leaders, claiming that Gujarat is being destroyed under the leadership of the BJP.
