BJP aims big in UP Elections 2022

The BJP won a landslide victory in local body elections in Uttar Pradesh, dealing a major blow to Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party. The BJP won 67 of the 75 seats up for grabs in the zila panchayat chairperson election. Mr. Yadav’s party received only five seats. A seat was won by each of the Rashtriya Lok Dal, Jansatta Dal, and an independent candidate.

In comparison, Mr Yadav’s party won 60 of the 75 seats in the same election in 2016. Those who have studied the elections, on the other hand, believe that the local body elections are unlikely to predict which way the wind will blow in the assembly election next year, which will also serve as a litmus test for BJP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

On Saturday, a Samajwadi police officer was charged with laathis on the streets in Prayagraj, formerly Allahabad, for alleged grumbling in local body elections.

PM Narendra Modi announced the victory on Twitter

“The BJP’s victories in the Panchayat UP District elections are the people’s blessing for development, government, and the rule of law. This is a testament to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s policies and the tireless efforts of party members.”

“The BJP won 67 of the 75 Panchayat district chairs. The parliamentary elections in 2022 will also be won.” Swatantra Dev Singh, the leader of the UP BJP, declared.

Previously, twenty-one BJP candidates and one Samajwadi Party candidate were elected unopposed. There are approximately 3,000 zila panchayat members in Uttar Pradesh. Chairpersons for the state’s 75 districts will be chosen in this election.

It is not uncommon for leaders to be elected unopposed in UP local body elections. Half of the 60 seats won by the Samajwadi Party in the Zilla panchayat chairperson elections in 2016 were unopposed. The Chief Minister at the time was Mr Yadav. A year later, the BJP won the state assembly election with a landslide.

BJP is doing their homework properly for the 2022 UP elections

The BJP does not leave any stone unturned when it comes to contesting elections, from Parliament to Panchayat. Amit Shah, after becoming BJP President, stated that the BJP should hold positions ranging from Parliament to Panchayat.

On that note, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath realized Amit Shah’s dream. After winning the panchayat elections, the BJP is now aiming for victory in the UP assembly elections.

Party strategists have mapped out a strategy for the upcoming UP Assembly Election 2022. The BJP has begun its campaigning, and the basic formula is that the party that campaigns well will win the election. The BJP wants to capitalize on its victory in the panchayat elections.

Who will be the face of BJP for the UP Elections in 2022?

In the upcoming parliamentary elections, CM Yogi will be the BJP’s face, indicating that the party has won its first panchayat victory. His leadership is in charge of the party’s campaign. The UP BJP office holders met on July 15 to discuss the strategy. The meeting took place. The following day, BJP President JP Nadda will also address the State Working Committee.
