UP Polls 2022: Union Defence Minister and BJP’s (Bharatiya Janata Party) star campaigner Rajnath Singh in Uttar Pradesh, will campaign door-to-door in Lakhimpur Kheri and Pilibhit ahead of UP assembly elections, on Wednesday.
Mr. Rajnath tweeted that he will be visiting constituencies in Lakhimpur Kheri and Pilibhit and will interact with the voters.
Lakhimpur Kheri will go to the elections in the fourth phase of the UP Assembly elections 2022 on 23rd February and 3rd February is the last day for filing a nomination.
On 31st January, the EC (Election Commission) allowed public meetings of up to 1000 people and doorstep campaigning with up to 20 persons. There is a continuation of the ban on vehicle rallies, roadshows, and processions in the poll-bound states till 11th February.
In the Uttar Pradesh state, the first phase polling will be held on 10th February, the second phase on 14th February, the third phase on 20th February, the fourth phase on 23rd February, the fifth phase on 27th February, the six-phase on 3rd March, and the seventh phase on 7th March. The votes’ counting will be held on 10th March.
