Time To Decide Between BJP And Terror-Supporters, Says Yogi Adityanath

On the day of the sixth phase of polling of the Uttar Pradesh assembly Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the elections have reached the key stage and each vote to ruling BJP is a step towards making the state India’s number 1 economy.

Adityanath also said that this is time to decide between BJP and terror-supporting people, apparently pointing at SP (Samajwadi Party).

Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Gorakhpur temple, Gorakhpur before casting his vote.

The polling for the UP assembly elections’ sixth phase will be held on Thursday. Polling will be conducted for 57 Assembly constituencies spread across 10 districts Ambedkarnagar, Ballia, Balrampur, Basti, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Deoria, Kushinagar, and Siddharthnagar.

A total of 2,14,62,816 voters which includes 1,14,63,113 males, 99,98,383 females and 1,320 third genders are expected to exercise their right to decide the fate of 676 candidates.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is contesting from Gorakhpur Urban, is the most prominent face of this phase of polls. Against Adityanath, BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party), SP (Samajwadi Party), and Congress have fielded Khwaja Shamsuddin, Subhavati Shukla, who is the wife of late Upendra Dutt Shukla, and Chetna Pandey respectively.

Polling for the seventh phase, which will be the last one, will be conducted on 7th March.
