BJP Not Keen On Other Party Leaders

With strategist Prashant Kishor deciding not to join the Congress, the calculations of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) in Telangana face-to-face an expected inflow of TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samiti) and Congress leaders to the BJP party have gone wrong.

The state BJP had thought Kishor would facilitate a tie-up between the TRS and the Congress in Telangana, which may help the BJP in terms of a likely exodus from these two parties.

In the changed scenario, both TRS and Congress leaders in the state are largely relieved that PK would not become part of the Congress party.

Some reports had projected a narrative that the TRS and Congress were going to team up under Prashant Kishor.

Now, it is clear that not many might attempt to come to the BJP fold from two rival parties in the immediate future. The BJP party’s central leadership had already asked the state unit not to rush into inviting all to the party.

According to BJP sources, for each person from another party who wishes to join the BJP, their liability and abilities must be checked.
