The notification was released on Tuesday for the election of four members to Rajya Sabha from the Andhra Pradesh assembly. The polling is to be held on June 10 from 9 am to 4 pm.
The returning officer and legislative council deputy secretary PV Subba Reddy said nominations will be accepted either from the contestant or his nominee by the returning officer or assistant returning officer till May 31. The nominations will be received from 11 am to 3 pm except on government holidays at the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Building, Velagapudi.
Nomination papers can be had from the AP Legislative Building and these will be scrutinized on June 1. Candidates can give a withdrawal notice in written format if desired. This has to be submitted either by the contestant or his nominee or an authorized agent at the returning/assistant returning officer office before 3 pm on June 3.
